Autumn Notes . . . Wednesday’s Wrap!

Hello!

Finally.

I am back on the blog!

I am one who cannot embrace Fall until after Labor day.

The white pants are washed and placed in the far right of the closet. My one pair of white shoes – “Birks”,  have been cleaned and preserved for Spring and Summer 2018.

I gradually transition my Fall wardrobe to the left and move Summer right as the weather and the leaves turn.  I purge along the way in an effort to keep a pleasing, refreshed, minimal capsule wardrobe. This time of year draws me to crisp white blouses and blue jeans with wraps and vests on my days off.

We recently visited friends in Southwest Washington for an overnight stay.  The visit coincided with their birthdays and the recent engagement of their son.

Their entire family flew to Boise for Jay and Camille’s wedding.  Our family I felt so honored.

Gifts of gratitude and celebration were in order for our visit.

I chose a Fall theme for the gifting!

WW2a

An apple scented candle and a monogram for the birthday hostess, wrapped with tulle and flourished with Autumn toned velvet flowers.  (The velvet flowers are napkin rings from Pier 1.)

WW5

I reinterpreted the look in metallic taupe velvet and bridal veil tulle with a warm vanilla scented candle for the newly engaged couple. ( Do you recognize Pottery Barn’s German glass letters? )  I love to keep monograms on hand for gifting.

WW6

For the birthday host, Mr D selected a killer “BIG RED“.  I made banana bread for breakfast coffee.

WW7

I pulled it all together to present . . .

. . . en français, of course!

( The date stamp in RED is a little hint about my next post. See ya at FBoF! )
