French Bread on Friday

SEP 22 2017 🍂 Happy Fall!

🥖Happy French Bread Friday!

🍆Happy Texture! Color! Français Provençal Ratatouille!

( 💵 . . . and it’s pay-day to boot! )

I was up early . . . early (4 am) this morning.  ( Already two cups of café noir have been consumed . . . ) There is still room at the top for my planned welcome Fall ’17 Pumpkin Spice Latte on the way to the clinic this morning.

The weather forecast for the weekend will allow for an Autumn yard clean up tomorrow before The Cougs play Nevada. ( 🏈Go Cougs!)

💗Thank you to all who have visited and have acknowledged my new format this past week.  ( I would love to have a blog designer style 34 one day. ) In the mean time . . . I will give it my best.  It will be a beautiful mess around here for awhile.

My effort to style today is on the farm table this morning.

The block print of France is in my Buvette cookbook! I’m telling you, this book is filling my mind with inspiration and well as my tummy with yummy.  I may have to dig out my old carving tools.

While sipping coffee, I was at play with some new texture and some new color for me. A couple of the articles of clothing may go back.  I am not certain about the crochet and the fray.

It helps me to style clothing from a display perspective . . . not only off the rack or in front of a dressing room mirror.  I have become much more discretionary with my purchases.  I want to love to wear what I wear.

:: Yummy French Fall Notes ::

I have had some nice reactions to my September French Bread on Friday features of the Buvette the pleasure of good food cookbook. It’s not a newly published book. Some of my readers have cooked with it for a few years.

Annie from the blog Most Lovely Things, messaged me . . . “The recipe for the Ratatouille is fabulous!”.

Talk about perfect timing for Fall color and texture!

Eggplant!

Zucchini!

Plum tomatoes!

Peppers!

A Fall harvest piled atop toasted, crusty FRENCH bread!

I plan to make it Saturday.  I will share my efforts on Instagram when I do.

Thank you, Annie!

Alexa’s playing the Coldplay and Chainsmoker playlist I made after I was inspired by Jay and Camille’s grand exit from their wedding reception.

The two bands are in town tomorrow to play Century Link Field.  Not going.  Just singing their fun play on words and music into my memory.

But she said, where’d you wanna go?
How much you wanna risk?
I’m not looking for somebody
With some superhuman gifts
Some superhero
Some fairytale bliss
Just something I can turn to
Somebody I can kiss

This song now lifts me when I hear it.

Tomorrow is also the anniversary of when I met Mr D . . . 45 years ago!

I met him in September . . . we married the following May and moved to Tennessee!

Wishing you a blissful, colorful lift to Fall 2017!

    1. Good morning, Maude! So happy you love the book! You are so lucky to be so . . . much . . . closer to Buvette NYC than I. Thank you for taking precious time to share opinion of my blog and Jody’s book! You have made my day!
