โ๐ฅ๐ Hello, B E A U T I F U L S !
Today is a special day for me.
( I hinted about a lifestyle change in a previous post.)
It is 6 months ’til my first day of retirement from the clinic.
When Mr D left for work this morning, I closed my eyes and visualized what I will wear on my first day.
I picked September ( 1st ) . . . because . . . September is my favorite month.ย I love the feeling and the atmosphere of September.ย In the Pacific Northwest, the days are warm, and the evenings bring a beautiful glow as the air cools.ย ย The windows are open. The air at dusk is fresh.ย My well being soars in September. It’s the prelude to my favorite season.
I am making an effort to be more mindful and intentional.ย I now set a time for a devotion at 5:30 am.ย This morning, Iย became acquainted with Emily P. Freeman.
I chose her podcast 25: Come Home To Yourself.ย
Her words, the pretty music and her prayer was the perfect way to begin this six month journey.
Rainer Maria Rilkeย said . . .ย ” Your not too old, and it’s not too late.”
I wrote the “quote” in my planner as I planned for this day . . . in January!
. . . thinking I need to write itย . . . and style itย pretty. ๐

Lynne, you’re going to love retirement! Six months will fly by!! Can’t wait for all your inspirational posts!!
Yes, Jody! ๐ More time for blogging with 8 hours subtracted from sitting at my desk in the clinic!
Lynne,
Retirement is one of the greatest blessings in my life. Freedom to choose when, where, how, why, what to do without restrictive, non-relenting schedules. I am confident you will ‘style the day’ everyday.
Judith
You are going to love being home!! I sure do. It takes a little bit of adjustment but not much. ๐
Lynne, what an exciting countdown for you! Six months will fly by… Your description of September in the Pacific Northwest was so beautiful and made me miss the Seattle area so much!
Thank you, Mary! I hope to travel to Cali one day, maybe we’ll meet again!
